AN ACT REQUIRING AN IMPACT EVALUATION CONCERNING
LARGE DATA CENTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
To require that the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority, in 1
consultation with the Office of Consumer Counsel, the Department of 2
Energy and Environmental Protection and the regional independent 3
system operator, initiate an uncontested proceeding to evaluate the 4
impact of large data centers on electric distribution system reliability. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority to evaluate the
impact of large data centers on grid reliability.
