AN ACT CONCERNING CLOSE VOTE RECANVASSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That sections 9-311a and 9-445 of the general statutes be amended to 1
provide that, whenever a close vote recanvass is triggered under either 2
of said sections, a defeated candidate shall not be allowed to file a 3
written statement waiving such candidate's right to such recanvass and 4
such recanvass shall be required to be conducted. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To require close vote recanvasses to be conducted and not allow
candidates to waive their rights to such recanvasses.
