LCO No. 4690 1 of 2 General Assembly Committee Bill No. 6075 January Session, 2025 LCO No. 4690 Referred to Committee on HIGHER EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT ADVANCEMENT Introduced by: (HED) AN ACT CONCERNING INSTRUCTORS FOR AN AIRFRAME AND POWERPLANT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2025) The Connecticut Technical 1 Education and Career System shall permit any person to be an instructor 2 for an airframe and powerplant certificate program operated by said 3 system who (1) meets the requirements specified in 14 CFR 147.19, and 4 (2) if such person holds an airframe and powerplant certificate, has not 5 less than ten years of experience as an aerospace technician. Nothing in 6 this section shall be construed to require a person to hold any 7 certification or endorsement from the Department of Education to be an 8 instructor for an airframe and powerplant certificate program. 9 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: Section 1 July 1, 2025 New section Committee Bill No. 6075 LCO No. 4690 2 of 2 Statement of Purpose: To specify the qualifications for instructors for an airframe and power plant certificate program operated by the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System.
