AN ACT CONCERNING MEDICAID COVERAGE FOR PEER SUPPORT
SERVICES FOR MENTAL ILLNESS AND SUBSTANCE USE
DISORDER TREATMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to provide Medicaid 1
coverage for peer support services to provide recovery-focused 2
treatment for mental illness and substance use disorder from a peer 3
support specialist who may have experience recovering from mental 4
illness or substance use disorder. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To provide Medicaid coverage for peer support services for mental
health and substance use disorder treatment.
