AN ACT CONCERNING HUSKY HEALTH PROGRAM PAYMENT
PARITY FOR SAFETY NET HUSKY DENTAL PROVIDERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to provide payment 1
parity for dental and dental hygiene services between federally 2
qualified health centers and HUSKY Health program safety net 3
providers who (1) are licensed in the state as dentists or dental 4
hygienists, (2) are nonprofit, (3) are not affiliated with a hospital or a 5
federally qualified health center, and (4) have a clientele composed of 6
not less than forty per cent Medicaid beneficiaries. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To establish payment parity for dentistry and dental hygiene services
provided by safety net providers.
