AN ACT EXEMPTING THE INCOME EARNED BY A CHILD OF AN
APPLICANT FROM THE CALCULATION OF GROSS INCOME IN
CONSIDERATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE RENTAL
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 8-345 of the general statutes be amended to establish an 1
exemption for the income earned by a child of an applicant, until such 2
child reaches the age of twenty-six, from inclusion in the calculation of 3
gross income for consideration for participation in the rental assistance 4
program. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To exclude the income earned by a child, up to the age of twenty-six, of
an applicant from inclusion in the calculation of gross income for
consideration for participation in the rental assistance program.
