AN ACT INCLUDING PROPERTIES THAT ARE ABLE TO BE 
PURCHASED BY PERSONS MEETING CERTAIN INCOME 
REQUIREMENTS IN THE CALCULATION OF THE THRESHOLD FOR 
THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING APPEALS PROCEDURE EXEMPTION. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That subsection (k) of section 8-30g of the general statutes be 1 
amended to include in the calculation of the ten-per-cent threshold for 2 
the affordable housing appeals procedure exemption any property that 3 
is not deed restricted but is able to be purchased by individuals or 4 
families whose income is less than or equal to eighty per cent of the 5 
median income based on the prevailing interest rate and appraised 6 
values of properties in effect as of the prior grand list year. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To include properties that are not deed restricted but able to be 
purchased by persons meeting certain income requirements in the 
calculation of the threshold for the affordable housing appeals 
procedure exemption.
