AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF CREDIT HISTORY OR RACE IN
UNDERWRITING AUTOMOBILE LIABILITY OR HOMEOWNERS
INSURANCE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to enact further 1
protections for consumers to prohibit any automobile liability or 2
homeowners insurance company from using credit history or race in 3
underwriting or rating automobile liability or homeowners insurance 4
policies. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To enact further protections for consumers to prohibit any automobile
liability or homeowners insurance company from using credit history
or race in underwriting or rating automobile liability or homeowners
insurance policies.
