AN ACT REQUIRING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR
RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY FOLLOWING SKIN CANCER ON THE
FACE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 700c of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
individual and group health insurance policies provide health 2
insurance coverage for facial reconstructive surgery following treatment 3
for skin cancer on the face, including, but not limited to, melanoma. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require that individual and group health insurance policies provide
health insurance coverage for facial reconstructive surgery following
treatment for skin cancer on the face, including, but not limited to,
melanoma.
