AN ACT PERMITTING INCARCERATED PERSONS TO BE DEBT -
FREE UPON RELEASE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to permit incarcerated persons 1
to be debt-free upon release from incarceration. 2
Statement of Purpose:
To allow a formerly incarcerated person an easier reentry into society.
