AN ACT ALLOWING FOR THE PROVISION OF CHILD SUPPORT FOR
CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF TWENTY-ONE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 46b-84 of the general statutes be amended to provide, 1
under certain circumstances and conditions, financial support for 2
children between the ages of eighteen and twenty-one where a court 3
finds it more likely than not that had the family remained intact the 4
parents would have provided such financial support to such children. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that children of families who would have provided financial
support to their children in their young adult years had the family
remained intact continue to benefit from the financial support when the
family is no longer intact.
