AN ACT CONCERNING NOTICE OF FIREARMS BY OPERATORS OF
FAMILY CHILD CARE HOMES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to require the (1) 1
annual, written notification by each operator of a family child care home 2
to the parents or guardians of each child enrolled in such home, if one 3
or more firearms is stored in such home, and (2) Office of Early 4
Childhood to take adverse licensing action against any operator in 5
violation of said requirement or safe firearms storage requirements. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To require (1) family child care home operators to notify parents and
guardians of the presence of firearms, and (2) the Office of Early
Childhood to take adverse licensing action against operators for
violation of said requirement or safe firearms storage requirements.
