AN ACT CONCERNING BOW AND ARROW HUNTING PRACTICES IN DEER AND TURKEY MANAGEMENT ZONES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to provide the following 1 requirements in deer and turkey management zones: (1) Require 2 property owners to notify neighbors, neighborhood associations and 3 local police of the presence of authorized bow hunters on such property; 4 (2) require bow hunters to stay forty yards from blazed hiking trails, 5 roads, sidewalks and property lines; (3) require property owners to 6 obtain permission from all tenants to allow bow hunting on such 7 property; (4) prohibit baiting on private land; and (5) establish a 8 taskforce to study how to provide for deer population control. 9 Statement of Purpose: To provide safe bow and arrow hunting practices and deer population control in deer and turkey management zones.
