AN ACT CONCERNING THE DESIGNATION OF CORE FOREST BY
THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 16a-3 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the 1
Department of Energy and Environmental Protection from designating 2
private property as core forest without the written approval of the 3
landowner. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent privately held forestland from being designated as core
forest without the owner's consent.
