AN ACT REQUIRING AN AUDIT OF PROGRAMS FUNDED BY THE
COMBINED PUBLIC BENEFITS CHARGE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that the 1
Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection conduct an 2
audit of all programs that are subsidized, funded or otherwise 3
connected to the Combined Public Benefits Charge on end use customer 4
electric bills, and that such audit include an analysis of (1) the cost 5
associated with each such program, (2) the extent of utilization of such 6
programs, and (3) options for streamlining such programs to reduce 7
costs for end use customers. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To require an audit of programs funded by the Combined Public
Benefits Charge on end use customer electric bills.
