AN ACT REQUIRING THE SECRETARY OF THE OFFICE OF POLICY
AND MANAGEMENT TO SUBMIT AN ANNUAL REPORT
CONCERNING STATE CONTRACTS AWARDED TO OUT -OF-STATE
COMPANIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Secretary of the 1
Office of Policy and Management to (1) compile an annual report on all 2
state contracts awarded to out-of-state companies entered into after the 3
effective date of this section, including for each such contract whether 4
any Connecticut companies bid for the contract and the reasons why an 5
out-of-state company was chosen over a Connecticut company, if 6
applicable, and (2) submit such report annually to the joint standing 7
committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 8
relating to government oversight. 9
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management to
submit an annual report concerning any state contracts awarded to out-
of-state companies.
