AN ACT PROHIBITING USE OF DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION
CONSIDERATIONS AT PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER
EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit public 1
institutions of higher education from (1) maintaining an office for 2
diversity, equity and inclusion, (2) requiring a diversity statement, and 3
(3) considering a person's race, color, sex, sexual identity or other 4
immutable characteristics in any admissions, scholarship, grading or 5
employment decisions. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit public institutions of higher education from (1) maintaining
an office for diversity, equity and inclusion, (2) requiring a diversity
statement, and (3) considering a person's immutable characteristics in
any admissions, scholarship, grading or employment decisions.
