AN ACT CONCERNING SUMMARY PROCESS EVICTIONS OF
PROTECTED TENANTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that, prior to 1
initiating a summary process eviction of a protected tenant pursuant to 2
section 47a-23c of the general statutes, a landlord seek approval from a 3
fair rent commission or the Superior Court by filing a complaint alleging 4
the reason for the eviction. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To require a landlord to seek approval from a fair rent commission or
the Superior Court prior to initiating a summary process eviction of a
protected tenant.
