AN ACT INCREASING PENALTIES FOR MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 53a of the general statutes be amended to increase penalties 1
for larceny of a motor vehicle for a first or second offense to (1) a class 2
D felony for a first offense, and (2) a class C felony for a second offense. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To increase penalties for motor vehicle thefts.
