AN ACT CONCERNING PREVAILING WAGE RATES ON PUBLIC
WORKS CONTRACTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amend to require public works contracts 1
subject to the provisions of section 31-53 of the general statutes 2
regarding prevailing wage to (1) lock in the prevailing wage rate for the 3
entirety of such contract, and (2) establish a percentage increase on an 4
annual basis for the entirety of such contract. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To provide predictability in the prevailing wage rates for the duration
of a public works project.
