AN ACT CONCERNING INTERCHANGE FEES ON ELECTRONIC
PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit payment card 1
networks from including sales and use taxes in the amount on which 2
interchange fees are imposed. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit payment card networks from including sales and use taxes
in the amount on which interchange fees are imposed.
