AN ACT CONCERNING A PILOT PROGRAM TO EXPAND THE
CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM TO CERTAIN MUNICIPAL
ELECTIONS IN CERTAIN MUNICIPALITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to establish a pilot 1
program for the expansion of the Citizens' Election Program to certain 2
economically distressed municipalities with populations of less than 3
twenty-five thousand, for purposes of publicly financing candidates for 4
mayor in each of such municipalities. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a pilot program to expand the Citizens' Election Program to
certain municipal elections in certain municipalities.
