AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROTECTION OF SPORTS OFFICIALS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide enhanced criminal 1
penalties and civil remedies for, and a public awareness campaign 2
about, attacks on sports officials. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To protect sports officials from increasing attacks and assaults and
prevent further attrition from the ranks of people willing to serve in
such roles.
