AN ACT CONCERNING REGIONAL COUNCILS OF GOVERNMENT AND INLAND WETLANDS REVIEW AND HISTORIC PROPERTY MAINTENANCE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require that (1) for any 1 proposed development that requires approval by municipal inland 2 wetlands agencies in two or more municipalities that are members of 3 the same regional council of government, each such agency shall consult 4 with such council before approving or denying any application 5 concerning such proposed development, and (2) each regional council 6 of government hire building and housing code officials to inspect the 7 conditions of historic buildings, and that such officials be empowered 8 to utilize funds from the Community Development Block Grant 9 Program to facilitate the maintenance or repair of historic buildings. 10 Statement of Purpose: To require that (1) for any proposed development that requires approval by municipal inland wetlands agencies in two or more municipalities that are members of the same regional council of government, each such agency shall consult with such council before approving or denying any Proposed Bill No. 6536 LCO No. 1796 2 of 2 application concerning such proposed development, and (2) each regional council of government hire building and housing code officials to inspect the conditions of historic buildings, and that such officials be empowered to utilize funds from the Community Development Block Grant Program to facilitate the maintenance or repair of historic buildings.
