AN ACT REQUIRING NEWBORN SCREENING FOR DUCHENNE
MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require newborn screening 1
for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. 2
Statement of Purpose:
To support early diagnosis and intervention for children with Duchenne
muscular dystrophy.
