AN ACT ALLOWING MUNICIPALITIES TO PAY A PORTION OF A
VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER'S PROPERTY TAX LIABILITY TO
ANOTHER MUNICIPALITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow a municipality that 1
utilizes the services of a volunteer firefighter to pay to another 2
municipality a portion of the volunteer firefighter's property tax 3
liability, if the volunteer firefighter resides in a municipality other than 4
the municipality that utilizes the services of the volunteer firefighter. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To allow a municipality that utilizes the services of a volunteer
firefighter to pay to another municipality a portion of the volunteer
firefighter's property tax liability, if the volunteer firefighter resides in a
municipality other than the municipality that utilizes the services of the
volunteer firefighter.
