Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 54 of the general statutes be amended to allow a police 1 officer to request consent to search a motor vehicle during a traffic stop. 2 Statement of Purpose: To reinstate consent searches as a valuable tool so that police officers can better perform their jobs.
