AN ACT REQUIRING GAS LEAK DETECTORS IN NEW AND EXISTING
CONSTRUCTION THAT USES COMBUSTIBLE GAS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 541 of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
the State Building Code require gas leak detectors (1) in all new 2
construction that uses combustible gas, and (2) in all existing 3
construction that uses combustible gas within two years. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require all structures that use combustible gas to be equipped with a
gas leak detector.
