AN ACT PROHIBITING THE INSTALLATION AND SALE OF LIGHT -
EMITTING DIODE HEADLIGHTS ON A MOTOR VEHICLES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit (1) the installation 1
of an aftermarket light-emitting diode headlight on a motor vehicle, (2) 2
the sale of an aftermarket light-emitting diode headlight designed for a 3
motor vehicle, and (3) the sale of a motor vehicle equipped with light-4
emitting diode headlights. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To restrict the sale of aftermarket light-emitting diode headlights to
enhance roadway safety and limit excessive brightness and glare from
oncoming motor vehicles.
