AN ACT REDUCING THE FARE FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
FOR LOW-INCOME PASSENGERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 242 of the general statutes be amended to grant low-1
income passengers a discount of fifty per cent on any fare charged for 2
public transportation operated by the state. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce commuting expenses for low-income passengers and
improve access to employment, education and health care.
