AN ACT REQUIRING DETAILED CRITERIA FOR INVITATIONS TO BID
ON A TRANSPORTATION CONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that invitations to bid 1
on a transportation construction project detail (1) the experience 2
required that matches the scope of work to be performed for the specific 3
project, (2) the minimum bonding thresholds that are tailored to the 4
specific project that the bidders will be required to meet, and (3) the 5
minimum that is required by the specific project for the bidder to 6
demonstrate that the bidder has the supplies, materials and equipment 7
necessary to complete the project. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To establish objective and detailed criteria for the evaluation of bids for
the performance of transportation construction projects.
