AN ACT PERMITTING THE TRANSFER OF SPECIAL NUMBER PLATES FOR AN ANTIQUE, RARE OR SPECIAL INTEREST MOTOR VEHICLE AMONG OTHER ANTIQUE, RARE OR SPECIAL INTEREST VEHICLES OWNED AND INSURED BY THE SAME PERSON. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to permit the 1 owner of a registered antique, rare or special interest motor vehicle with 2 special number plates issued pursuant to section 14-20 of the general 3 statutes to transfer such number plates to other antique, rare or special 4 interest motor vehicles such owner may own, provided each motor 5 vehicle is insured and not the owner's primary motor vehicle. 6 Statement of Purpose: To allow greater flexibility for classic car hobbyists who own multiple motor vehicles that are not their primary motor vehicle to purchase one motor vehicle registration.
