REYES, 75th Dist. AN ACT CREATING A SPECIAL MOTOR VEHICLE NUMBER PLATE IN RECOGNITION OF "THE BORINQUENEERS". Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 14 of the general statutes be amended to (1) create a special 1 number plate in recognition of the primarily Puerto Rican members of 2 the 65th Infantry Regiment of the United States Army who served with 3 distinction and were known as "The Borinqueneers", and (2) provide 4 that revenues generated from sales of such number plate, after 5 administrative fees, shall be used to support Hispanic heritage 6 programming events and initiatives across the state. 7 Statement of Purpose: To recognize and honor "The Borinqueneers" with a special motor vehicle number plate.
