Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 27 of the general statutes be amended to allow any person 1 who was released from the armed forces with a general discharge or an 2 other-than-honorable discharge due solely to such person's sexual 3 orientation, gender identity or gender expression to petition the 4 Commissioner of Veterans Affairs for purposes of having such person's 5 discharge, on any state veteran's registry, instead recorded as 6 "honorable". 7 Statement of Purpose: To allow any person with a general discharge or an other-than- honorable discharge due solely to such person's sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression to have such person's discharge, on any state veteran's registry, instead recorded as "honorable".
