Explanation
The bill allows qualifying veterans to apply for their discharge
from the armed forces to be characterized as honorable in the state’s
veteran registry. This does not result in a fiscal impact as a veteran’s
discharge status in the registry does not affect eligibility for state
benefits.
Additionally, any increase in applications for review is not
anticipated to result in a fiscal impact as the board is able to absorb such
a workload within current resources.
