AN ACT DISSOLVING THE LAURA ANDREWS FREE LIBRARY
ASSOCIATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective October 1, 2025) The Laura Andrews Free Library 1
Association, established pursuant to number 134 of the special acts of 2
1880, as amended by number 30 of the special acts of 1892, is hereby 3
dissolved. The funds and tangible property held by such association 4
shall be transferred to the town of Thomaston for the benefit of the 5
Thomaston Public Library. 6
Sec. 2. Number 134 of the special acts of 1880 and number 30 of the 7
special acts of 1892 are repealed. (Effective October 1, 2025) 8
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
Section 1 October 1, 2025 New section
Sec. 2 October 1, 2025 Repealer section

Statement of Purpose:
To dissolve the Laura Andrews Free Library Association and distribute
the funds and tangible property of said association to the town of
Thomaston.
