AN ACT REQUIRING THE TESTING FOR PFAS WHENEVER A
WASTE-TO-ENERGY PLANT APPLIES FOR EXPANSION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1
Energy and Environmental Protection to require any waste-to-energy 2
facility to test for PFAS when it submits an application for expansion of 3
its facility. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To test for PFAS when a waste-to-energy facility seeks to expand its
facility.
