AN ACT REQUIRING REPORTING ON CLOSED WELLS AND
LANDFILLS AND ESTABLISHING A PROTOCOL FOR TESTING SUCH
STRUCTURES FOR PFAS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Departments of 1
Agriculture and Energy and Environmental Protection to report on the 2
number of closed wells and landfills in the state and establish a protocol 3
for the testing of wells, landfills and incinerator ash for the presence of 4
PFAS. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To create a record of closed landfills and wells and establish a protocol
for PFAS testing of wells, landfills and incinerator ash.
