AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF NIP BOTTLE PAYMENTS BY
MUNICIPALITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 22a-244b of the general statutes be amended to require 1
municipalities to utilize nip bottle payments only for the remediation of 2
litter, rather than reducing the generation of solid waste. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To provide that nip bottle payments to towns may be used only for litter
remediation, not solid waste generation reduction.
