AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSPARENCY IN TRANSPORTATION
PROJECTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 242 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Transportation to (1) publish on the department's 2
Internet web site a list of transportation projects currently under 3
construction, the amount of the contracted construction costs for each 4
such transportation project, including the amount such transportation 5
project is costing each taxpayer, and the anticipated substantial 6
completion date for each such transportation project, and (2) erect a sign 7
at each construction site of such transportation project that contains the 8
amount of contracted construction costs for such transportation project, 9
including the amount such transportation project is costing each 10
taxpayer, and the anticipated substantial completion date for such 11
transportation project. 12
Statement of Purpose:
To provide transparency in transportation projects.
