AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING TO REIMBURSE MUNICIPALITIES
FOR REVENUE LOSS CAUSED BY VETERAN PROPERTY TAX
EXEMPTIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the sum of ____ dollars be appropriated to the Office of Policy 1
and Management, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 2
30, 2026, for reimbursement to each municipality for any revenue loss 3
caused by a property tax exemption for veterans pursuant to 4
subdivision (83) of section 12-81 of the general statutes. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To hold municipalities harmless for granting veterans benefits.
