AN ACT CONCERNING THE TAX RATES OF TOBACCO AND
NICOTINE PRODUCTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 12 of the general statutes be amended to equalize the tax 1
rates of combustible and noncombustible tobacco and nicotine products 2
to promote uniformity in the tax treatment of such products. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To align the tax rates of combustible and noncombustible tobacco and
nicotine products to promote uniformity in the tax treatment of such
products.
