AN ACT REVISING THE AMOUNT OF FLUORIDE TO BE ADDED TO
THE WATER SUPPLY BY WATER COMPANIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 19a-38 of the general statutes be amended to revise the 1
amount of fluoride to be added to the water supply by water companies 2
from an amount that is tied to the amount recommended by the United 3
States Department of Health and Human Services to seven-tenths of a 4
milligram of fluoride per liter of water. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To enhance public health outcomes and promote dental health by
ensuring consistent levels of fluoride in the drinking water of larger
communities.
