AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF PRIVATE FUNDS BY THE STATE
AND MUNICIPALITIES FOR ELECTIONS -RELATED PURPOSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the state or 1
any municipality from receiving or accepting any gift, donation or other 2
funding from any private individual, corporation, partnership, trust, 3
organization or other third party, and using such gift, donation or other 4
funding for the payment of elections-related expenses. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the acceptance and use by the state and municipalities of
private funds for elections-related purposes.
