REP. MASTROFRANCESCO, 80th Dist. REP. DAUPHINAIS, 44th Dist. AN ACT CONCERNING THE ABSENTEE VOTING PROCESS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to (1) specify that 1 absentee ballots may only be counted on the day of an election, (2) 2 provide consistency across all municipalities as to processing of 3 absentee ballots prior to the day of an election, and (3) allow registrars 4 of voters to contact electors for the purpose of curing unsigned absentee 5 ballot envelopes. 6 Statement of Purpose: To specify that absentee ballots may only be counted on election day, provide consistency among towns as to pre-election processing of such ballots and allow for the curing of unsigned absentee ballot envelopes.
