AN ACT MAKING CERTAIN ELECTION RESULTS -RELATED
INFORMATION PUBLICLY AVAILABLE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 9-314 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
(1) when the moderator delivers a physical copy of the vote results to 2
the Secretary of the State not later than the third day after an election, 3
all tabulator tapes and vote tally sheets relating to such vote results shall 4
be attached to such vote results, and (2) the office of the Secretary of the 5
State shall publish on said office's Internet web site digital scans of all 6
such tabulator tapes and vote tally sheets. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To require that certain supporting documentation be attached to the
vote totals sent by the moderator to the Secretary of the State and that
such documentation be published on the Secretary's Internet web site.
