AN ACT CONCERNING THE INSTRUCTION OF ENGLISH AS A
SECOND LANGUAGE IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-17f of the general statutes be amended to require local 1
and regional boards of education to offer English as a second language 2
programs and to provide funding to such boards for such programs. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To require school districts to offer English as a second language
programs.
