AN ACT ESTABLISHING PFAS -RELATED PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY TESTING STANDARDS AND REQUIREMENTS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require that public water 1 suppliers conduct regular monthly testing to assure that PFAS levels are 2 not greater than twenty parts per trillion and that if the average of such 3 tests over three months shows a level higher than such standard, the 4 supplier shall undertake actions to reduce PFAS through efforts such as 5 linking the supply to new sources of water, installing PFAS filters and 6 blending well waters that have high and low levels of PFAS. 7 Statement of Purpose: To create a maximum contaminant level for PFAS in public drinking water supplies.
