AN ACT CONCERNING HOUSING UNIT -EQUIVALENT POINTS FOR
ELDERLY UNITS AND TRANSIT-ORIENTED DWELLING UNITS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 8-30g of the general statutes be amended to require (1) 1
the award of housing unit-equivalent points for elderly units restricted 2
to persons and families whose income is equal to or less than eighty per 3
cent of the median income be increased from one-half to one housing 4
unit-equivalent point, and (2) an award of one-quarter housing unit-5
equivalent point for each new, unrestricted dwelling unit located within 6
one-half mile of a transit station. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the housing unit-equivalent points for elderly units and
require an award of housing unit-equivalent points for transit-oriented
dwelling units.
