AN ACT AUTHORIZING REDACTION FEES FOR DISCLOSURE OF
POLICE RECORDS OF BODY-WORN RECORDING EQUIPMENT OR
DASHBOARD CAMERAS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That sections 1-212 and 29-6d of the general statutes be amended to 1
authorize a public agency to charge a redaction fee for the disclosure of 2
a record created by police body-worn recording equipment or 3
dashboard cameras that contains data not authorized to be disclosed 4
under state or federal law. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To authorize a public agency to charge a redaction fee for the disclosure
of a record created by police body-worn recording equipment or
dashboard cameras that contains data not authorized to be disclosed
under state or federal law.
